In ‘The Observed’ series the author turns to child fears theme and to those inner stations that are hard to be understood by adults — and trouble them so much. The author bears the idea about previous life experience, that transfers the children to other world and gradually fades as they are getting older.
The main hero of the series is a photographer’s daughter, shot by Mom for about four years, and other children from the inner circle. While observing the children and immersing into their world through photography the author creates a mysterious atmosphere, close to a kind of a nightmare or a horror movie. Then those who are observed become the observers, so the unfaltering gaze of the children appals you a bit. Even in a sleep they do not look like cute angels anymore; reminding some dozing harpies, these children might well awake and steal your peace.
